How to Care for Your Teeth

Articles 4 Jan 2018

“Having a toothache is better than having a heartache ”, said Meggi Z, an Indonesian dangdut singer. But in reality there is nothing better. Maintaining oral and dental hygiene is the first step that can be done to avoid toothache. There is so many ways that can be done to maintain oral cleanliness and dental health. Here are some simple steps that can be done everyday.

1. Brush your teeth twice a day.

Brush your teeth twice a day, after breakfast and before bed. Brush your teeth correctly, clean all layers of dental plaque. If you do it incorrectly, the plaque will ‘catch’ the remains of food that is in the mouth and become tartar.

2. Choose the right tooth paste.

You need a toothpaste that is powerful to clean the teeth. You can try toothpaste with natural ingredients, such as betel leaves. The betel leaf toothpaste contains essential oils with phenol and kavikol which are known to have antibacterial activity three times more effective than fluoride compounds.

3. Use a mouthwash.

To improve dental and oral care, use a mouthwash. In addition to disinfecting germs, mouthwash also refresh the mouth.

4. Visit your dentist regularly.

Although the tooth and mouth care is done, we still need to check the teeth periodically. The time it takes to visit a dentist is at least six months. So we can monitor the condition of the mouth and teeth to avoid dangerous risks while keeping the teeth clean and healthy.
